Ryton on Dunsmore comes under the Rugby Policing District within Warwickshire Police >> MORE.

November 2006 saw 'Safer Neighbourhood Teams' (SNT's) replace the old Community Beat Teams. Rugby has 7 SNT's - Town East, Town West, Town North, Town Centre and Rural North, Rural Central and Rural South.

The three rural teams cover a wide area and approximatley 30,000 residents. Rugby Rural Central is the biggest SNT with team members due to the increased number of residents. Rugby Rural Central consists of: 1 Sgt 3 PC's 4 PCSO's Ryton comes under Rugby Rural Central as well as Earl Craven, Wolston and Lawford wards.

The people assigned to Ryton are:

Sgt Faulkner is Sgt for all three rural SNT's.
PC Russell also covers Dunchurch (Rural South) PCSO Eleanor Batty also covers Binley Woods, Brandon and Bretford.

Therefore, none are exclusive to Ryton. This is not to say that when they are not on shift that Ryton is ignored - other members of the SNT cover and keep an eye on things if people are away. If the SNT are on rest days then the reactive shift based at Rugby take over. The SNT work a 6 on 4 off shift that covers days and nights. PCSO's work a different shif that includes days, evenings and weekends so it is very infrequent that you will find neither a PCSO or PC off.
